The following was sent to Bob Russell, to disseminate to all interested parties that wish to join the Combat Challenge Players Association:

Bob:

Bob please forward this information to all who have been
communicating with you regarding the combat challenge association. First of
all, we have established a website called: www.claytonchallenge.com.  All
interested in joining the association should go to that website
immediately. There they will find a competitor information section. Every
competitor should fill out all the information requested as this will
assist us in developing a comprehensive data base, which in turn help us
operate more efficiently.

We should call our association the " Combat Challenge Association".
Based upon an informal query, I believe that membership dues should be
$50.00 for the first year. This will help us defray certain initial
administrative costs associated with incorporation, bank accounts, etc... I
will meet with an attorney early next week in order to begin the
incorporation process. Pass the word that everyone needs to get their check
ready to be made out to: The Combat Challenge Players Association. Once I
speak with the attorney I will post mailing information on the Clayton
challenge website.

I recommend that our initial board consist of either 10-12 directors
in addition to myself which would give us an odd number. I propose to serve
as director of the players association for one year after which I would
have to be reappointed by the board of directors for some term to be
determined, provided of course I don't go crazy or drop dead first. As
director, I intend to spear head establishment of the organization,
facilitate achievement of the goals set forth by the board, speak on behalf
of the organization and vote only in case of a tie.

I have spoken to Marty Deishiel who for those that don't know
produced the last ESPN telecast of the world finals of the Firefighter
Combat Challenge. Thru that conversation I have learned much about what
will be required to get the combat challenge televised again. To achieve
that goal I have contacted a media consulting firm located in the Atlanta
area. For a fee of $7,000 they will serve as the project manager in order
to assist us in raising cooperate sponsorship necessary to pay for the
production costs of the telecast.

We have received a couple of e-mails from hosts of regional events
wanting to know what things they should do to make their event more
hospitable to the competitors.  I have my own ideas based on what we have
done here for the nationals.  However I would ask that all issues of
concern or displeasure from past events be sent to me at the Clayton
Challenge website so I can in turn forward our recommendations to each host
coordinator.  Dr. Davis is flying into Atlanta Thursday. I will meet with
him to discuss in detail our concerns and goals.
